ATTORNEY PROFILE
Samuel
T. Jackson is a solo practitioner in the areas of family law, including
divorce, custody, child support and adoptions; administrative
law; appellate law and probate. In his previous lives, he's been a
legal
aid attorney, Chief of Litigation for the Child Support Division, and
Presiding Administrative Law Judge for the Office of the Attorney
General.
For
more than three decades Samuel T. Jackson has waged war on behalf of
the common man who just wants a fair shake in the courtroom regardless of wealth or class. That has led to battles with
the Attorney General to require appointment of counsel in child
support enforcement cases; with the Supreme Court of Texas to provide
free transcripts to litigants who could not afford them; with the State
of Texas to allow indigents to appeal without payment of fees.
His
most recent litigation challenges the jurisdiction of the State
Office of Administrative Hearings to suspend the professional licenses
of delinquent child support obligors in which he seeks to overturn over
2000 license suspension cases. This case is now on appeal.
He is also engaged in extensive litigation to enforce the public's
right of access to court records maintained by state agencies. One case is
pending review in the Texas Supreme Court. Jackson v. Tex Dept of Pub
Safety.
We hope
our next case will be yours, to allow us to utilize our innovative and
aggressive skills to solving your problems at a very reasonable rate.
